My Sister’s House
24/7 Crisis Line: 800-273-4673843-747-4069 My Sister's House is the designated domestic-violence program serving Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties. Services are free and include crisis support, individualized safety planning, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, case management, individual therapy, and survivor support groups. A police report is not required to receive services.

Origin SC Survivor & Group Counseling
843-628-3000 https://www.originsc.orgOffers a 16-week Survivors of Domestic Violence/Empowerment program for people who have experienced domestic or intimate-partner violence. The survivor program is free and includes counseling, support, and court advocacy. Their group programs are offered virtually, allowing participation throughout South Carolina.
Mending the Soul Virtual & In-Person
Christ-centered ministry specifically focused on healing from abuse and trauma, including physical, sexual, spiritual and verbal abuse and neglect. Its small groups use a biblically grounded, research-informed and psychologically integrated curriculum. Groups are small—typically 4–5 women or 4–5 men, not co-ed—and are led by trained facilitators. The standard Mending the Soul groups generally meet weekly for 14–16 weeks.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, feel unable to stay safe, or are in a mental health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988 or use the 988 online chat. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from trained crisis counselors. You can also contact 988 if you are concerned about someone else.

They provide crisis intervention, hospital accompaniment for sexual-assault forensic exams, law-enforcement and court accompaniment, referrals, follow-up services, mental-health connections, and survivor support groups. Services are free.
They also now offer text and online chat from 10 AM–10 PM, while telephone support remains available 24/7.
DivorceCare - Summerville Baptist

In person | Childcare availableDivorceCare is a Christian, 13-week support program for people experiencing separation or divorce. Meetings combine a video-based curriculum with group discussion and personal recovery exercises. The current Summerville Baptist group is already underway, but DivorceCare allows people to find/contact the group for participation details.

Available 24/7/365 statewideSouth Carolina's Mobile Crisis program is available for adults and children experiencing a mental-health crisis anywhere in the state. A clinician can assess the situation by phone and, when appropriate, dispatch a clinical team to the person's location for assessment, de-escalation, safety planning, and connection to appropriate care.

Available 24/7/365 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston(EmPATH) Unit provides emergency psychiatric evaluation and short-term stabilization for adults experiencing a mental health or behavioral health crisis. Care may include psychiatric assessment, medication, therapy, crisis intervention, and planning for appropriate follow-up or inpatient care. EmPATH care is accessed through the emergency department and can provide short-term stabilization for up to 72 hours.
